About The Blue Hammer
The Blue Hammer is a journal of nonfiction of every kind, including essays, reviews, personal history, investigative journalism, humor, and nonsense. It's divided into Daily Hammer entries (little bloggish items) and articles (full-length items with illustrations), though that distinction has been disappearing lately. We get more than 4,000 visitors a month, many of them drawn by the search terms "man tits" and "Shaq's cars." The story about the worst waiter in Seattle is consistently the most popular piece.
Umm, wait. That's kinda bullshit. I started this site because I couldn't get any writing gigs, and needed an outlet for my manly creative urges. But that was a long time ago. Now I'm busy with all kinds of jobs that pay money. Big money. Because my writing is composed with the use of my magical golden cock, dipped in the magical ink that is made of the dreams of men. And when I'm not working, I am drunk (e.g., now). So who has time to update a stupid Web site? And yet I do, sometimes, when my magical golden cock has a little magical ink leftover from its long day's labor at jobs that pay more money than all those stupid and ugly Google ads on the right. I love you.
The original name of the site was The Flaming Penis, a name superior in every way to the present one. Fuck you. --David Stoesz
